Wednesday, June 13: Kempton & Punchestown Daily Double: #1 Kingston Kurrajong (Kempton, 6.10pm)
We have runners on either side of the Irish Sea in our Wednesday, June 13: Kempton & Punchestown Daily Double.
The first runs in the UK, on the all-weather at Kempton’s evening meeting.
Kingston Kurrajong is a five-year-old son of Authorized and is trained by William Knight.
This one has something of a liking for this place.
He always seems to run well here and claimed a place back in April.
He also won here the month before and gets to run off a lower mark today.
However, he has been running in higher grade races since and it is no surprise he has yet to add to that win.
Dropped back in grade and at a course he likes, we reckon today is the day.
In addition Jason Watson takes the ride and he is firing at a 14% strike rate.
Wednesday, June 13: Kempton & Punchestown Daily Double: #2 Ballyoisin (Punchestown, 6.20pm)
The second leg of our Wednesday, June 13: Kempton & Punchestown Daily Double goes in Ireland.
Ballyoisin is a seven-year-old son of Presenting and is trained by Enda Bolger.
With a trainer who is firing at a 20% strike rate, we have to take note.
He has been chasing for a while now and landed a valuable handicap at Cork last October.
Ballyoisin also won a Grade 3 at Killarney last time out.
That form sets the standard here and both ground and trip are up his street.
He is the one to beat and, in addition, Barry Geragthy takes the ride.
The opposition also does not look much and we reckon this one can see off our daily double in fine style.
