This Tuesday, April 17: English Acca has six selections with each side bang in-form and playing sides from lower down the table.

Portsmouth have had a good first season back in League One and are on the brink of the play-offs. They are one point adrift from the play-offs and travel to Bradford who are dropping like a stone down the table. They have only won once in the last 15 games and have only scored two goals in their last seven. Portsmouth are unbeaten in six games and haven’t lost away from home in five. We’re backing form here.

Doncaster need a good run-in to make the play-offs. They are ten points adrift from the play-offs with six games to go. That good run could start here at home to rock bottom, and already relegated, Bury. They have lost their last seven games and look a shadow of their former selves. Doncaster are unbeaten in five games and should be nailed on to beat Bury.

Accrington are on fire and barring a miracle, should be promoted to League One in good time. They are unbeaten in twelve games and play a Yeovil side who haven’t won in three. Yeovil should be safe from the drop now but nothing is certain until that fat lady starts singing.

Exeter are battling it out to secure an automatic promotion place but might have to make do with the play-offs. They are fifth in the log and four points adrift from third placed Wycombe. They’ll fancy three points at home to bottom of the league Chesterfield though. The visitors haven’t won in four and are facing relegation to the National League.

Non-League Action

Salford are three games away from promotion and just need to keep doing what they’ve been doing all season, winning. They have won their last four on the spin and sit on top of the league. They visit Southport who have lost their last four games in a row and have dropped to 14th in the league. Salford won the reverse fixture 2-1.

Hereford start their rise back from the ashes after going into administration two years ago. They should seal promotion in the coming weeks as they continue to thrash everyone in sight. They have won their last six in a row and have only conceded one goal in the process. Biggleswade are their hosts today who are bang in mid-table and have only won once in the last five. Hereford beat Biggleswade 1-0 back in February.
