Five hurdlers to follow 2018-19: 1. Doncesar De Pretot

The first of our five hurdlers to follow 2018-19 is Doncesar De Pretot.

This one is a French-bred youngster that now runs for up-and-coming trainer Olly Murphy.

A five-year-old son of Saddler Maker, this one hasn’t been seen much on track.

However, when he has he has been impressive.

The best run was a close second at Vichy last time out and he looks one to follow on these shores.

Five hurdlers to follow 2018-19: 2. My Way

The second pick in our five hurdlers to follow 2018-19 is trained by Paul Nicholls.

He is a trainer who is adept at bringing along imports from France and My Way looks the real deal.

My Way is technically still a maiden after six runs.

However, that doesn’t tell the whole story as he has been placed in all those efforts.

He has bags of potential and we suspect he’ll be a force in novice hurdles this season.

Five hurdlers to follow 2018-19: 3. Never Adapt

No five hurdlers to follow 2018-19 list would be complete without a runner representing Willie Mullins.

And Never Adapt is that runner.

The vibes about this one is that she is a mare with a big future ahead of her.

A daughter of Anabaa Blue, she has only raced once in her life.

However, it was mightily impressive and resulted in a ten-length romp.

She can only improve for being in Mullins’ care and she has to be one the list this season.

Five hurdlers to follow 2018-19: 4. Commander of Fleet

The next one on our five hurdlers to follow 2018-19 list is also trained in Ireland.

However, this one is with Gordon Elliot.

Commander Of Fleet is a four-year-old son of Fame And Glory.

He has only run twice in his career.

However, both runs resulted in victories.

The first was a point-to-point and the latest was an eight-length win in a valuable bumper at last season’s Punchestown Festival.

He is a really exciting prospect and definitely one to watch.

Five hurdlers to follow 2018-19: 5. Summerville Boy

The final leg of our five hurdlers to follow 2018-19 also looks a really exciting prospect.

The winner of last season’s Supreme Novice Hurdle, this one loves a fast-run race.

And that is exactly what Tom George’s charge will get when stepped up to open races this season.

His ultimate aim will be the Champion Hurdle. However, there are plenty of good hurdle races over the minimum trip to be won with him before that.
